Jazz quintet to play at Eden Mills hall

EDEN MILLS – The Tan Five Jazz Quintet is coming to the Eden Mills Community Hall on March 16 at 8pm as part of Eden Mills Music at the Hall, continuing a tradition of memorable jazz performances.

Tan Five will play standards from the American songbook tradition.

The group includes four Guelph-based musicians: Howard Spring and Al Gorman on guitar, Andy Klaehn on sax and clarinet, and Ted Warren on drums.

They also teach at the University of Guelph.

The fifth, Rob Mcbride on bass, hails from St. Catharines.

All of these musicians have been on the jazz scene in Ontario for years, playing with many well-known artists.

Proceeds from the concert support the Eden Mills Community Hall.

In the spirit of Eden Mills Going Carbon Neutral, this 100-year-old heritage building has just completed a comprehensive energy retrofit reducing its carbon emissions by 92%.

The retrofit will make it possible for this excellent acoustic facility with the great wooden dance floor to welcome audiences for generations to come.

The Eden Mills Community Hall is located at 104 York Street, Eden Mills.

Tickets are $20 for adult and $10 for students.
