Jazz in the yard is going Cajun Aug. 23
Chefs Roger Dufau and Alex Sgroi cook great Louisiana cuisine on an Argentine open pit barbecue at the annual Jazz in the Yard at the Elora Centre for the Arts on Aug. 23.
Chicken, sausages, beef, jambalaya, and the best of local produce as well as vegetarian alternatives will be available as Jazz in the Yard uses a Cajun theme this year.
The Cajun Toronto band Swamerella will perform with Dancing Thread, who will give Cajun dancing lessons.
Also appearing are The Ernie Kalwa Quartet, the Mike Pratt Group, and Mandala.
Jazz in the Yard runs Aug. 23, from 4 to 11pm at the Elora Centre for the Arts, 75 Melville Street. Tickets are $30 advance, $35 at the gate (kids, 12 and under, $5), and everything is included. There is a cash bar and free parking.
