Jan. 18 event a hoot for owl enthusiasts
The Arboretum, University of Guelph, is presenting its Owl workshop: A Who’s Whoo in Ontario with naturalist Chris Earley on Jan. 18 from 9am to 4pm.
The event will be followed by an Owl Prowl from 6pm to 8pm.
The workshop will help participants learn to use their eyes and ears to identify Ontario’s owls.
Through a wide variety of hands-on activities, participants will learn about owl plumage, calls and behaviour, habitat requirements, migration patterns and owl folklore.
