Of Mount Forest passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Strathcona Long Term Care Mount Forest on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in her 88th year. Dear wife of the late Robert Mainland (2025) and the late Ross Jackson (2004). Loving mother of William Jackson of Mattawa, Robyn Jackson and David MacArthur of Arthur Tracey and Brent Wanless of Wellington North. Cherished grandmother of Tiffany Jackson (Mark), Terri Baillie (Jamie), Scott Jackson (Reena). Dear great grandmother of Gabby, Travis, Scarlett, Jake, Zaden and Kinsley. Sister of Keith and Diane Gowing, Lyle and Lynette Gowing, Doug and Sheila Gowing, Bernice and Don Oldenberg, Neil Gowing, Wayne and Debbie Gowing and Lois and Steve Thur. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. To honour Dorothy’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial Service of Remembrance will be held in the Arthur United Church on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 11:00am.
