CENTRE WELLINGTON – Your voice matters and now is the time to have a say, according to officials with Centre Wellington Township.

Each year, residents are encouraged to participate in the township’s annual budgeting process. The 2025 budget engagement survey is now open for input to shape next year’s budget.

“Before engaging in a thorough discussion about the 2025 budget, it’s essential for council to gather input from our residents,” stated Mayor Shawn Watters in a press release.

“We aim to create a budget that addresses the needs of our community, and their feedback will guide us in allocating resources effectively to ensure their tax dollars are spent wisely.”

Township staff want to know how services and program delivery make a difference in residents’ lives, officials say.

The online engagement survey will allow residents to share their feedback directly with township staff.

The budget survey on Connect CW will be open until Oct. 31.   Feedback will be shared with council to help form their decision-making throughout budget deliberations.

Anyone wishing to ask questions or share feedback in person can do so at the township open house on Oct. 22, from 6 to 8 pm at the Fergus sportsplex.

The budget timeline is as follows:

-  Nov. 5, budget impacts report and discussion;

Dec. 3 and 5, budget deliberations; and

Dec. 16, budget approval.

To provide feedback visit connectcw.ca.c7.
