Itching to get in the garden? Get your fix with ‘Day in the Garden’ event

PUSLINCH – Join the Guelph Wellington Master Gardeners on Feb. 26 for a “Day in the Garden.”

GWMG is hosting a day-long series of workshops on the theme of horticultural resilience.

The event, at Victoria Park East Golf Club, runs from 8:30am to 3pm and features three speakers, workshops, vendors, lunch, and more. 

Guest speakers

Darrell Bley, instructor and curator of the woody plant collection at the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and School of Horticulture, will talk about a systematic approach to diagnosing plant problems.

Sean James, educator, professional speaker, eco-landscape designer and consultant will speak about creating a layered native garden for biodiversity.

Karin Davidson Taylor, educational officer at the Royal Botanical Gardens, will talk about the healing power of plants.

Tickets are $60 in advance or $70 after Feb. 15 and include gardening vendors and displays, breakfast and catered lunch, loot bags, and prize draws.
