IRVINE, Marion Edna (nee Cameron) With sadness, the family of Marion announces her passing on Monday, January 1, 2018 at Wellington Terrace, Fergus, ON. Marion was in her 98th year. Beloved wife for 59 years of the late Cecil W. Irvine (2005). Predeceased by her much loved daughter Nancy (2002) and by her sisters Jean Hibbert and Helen Honey and her brothers Willis and Don. Marion was born in Orangeville, ON and was a long-time resident of Grand Valley. She was a dedicated community volunteer, active member of Trinity United Church, Hereward Women’s Institute, and Participation House (Markham). Marion gave generously of her time and cared deeply for everyone around her. Her positive way of thinking and encouraging spirit will be remembered and missed. Dear cherished mother of Steve and Chris of Ariss, Glen and Lori of Elmira and Alan and Shirley of Grand Valley. Loving grandmother of Mark (Sarah Butler) and Greg (Allison Rubino); Brenda (Reg Martin) and Julie; Dean (Cortney), Craig (Celine), Scott (Stacey) and Peter. Fondly remembered by her 16 precious great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. Family and friends gathered on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Trinity United Church, 17 King St., Grand Valley. Visitation started at 12 noon at the church, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at a later time. Donations to Participation House (Markham) or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. The family extends sincere appreciation to all the staff and volunteers at Wellington Terrace for the wonderful care and support they provided.
