IRVINE, Mable “Valda”; Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14th, 2014, in her 102nd year. Beloved mother of Sylvia (Ken Jones) and Elaine (Glenn Tait). Loving grandmother of 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by brother Oliver East. Predeceased by sons Ross (Jean Woods) and Frank (Marilyn), grandchildren Larry Jones and Dale Coles and sisters Myrtle Platt and Pearl McKitrick. A funeral service will be held at Simes Funeral Home, 48 Main St. S., Grand Valley on Friday, October 17th at 1pm with visitation starting at 11am. In Valda’s memory, donations may be made to the Knox Presbyterian Church.
