Irvine Lodge installs new officers

David Steen has just been installed as a master of Irvine Masonic Lodge No. 203 Elora, for the lodge year 2008-09.

Installing master was Craig Steen, assisted by many past masters and members.

Special guests included Paul Johnson, district deputy grand master of Wellington District, Grand Lodge of Canada in the province of Ontario, Board of General Purpose members John Green and Dennis Hawmann, and Grand Steward Les Sultzer.

Visitors were present from Lodges in Guelph, George­town, Drayton, Thornhill, Erin, Orillia, Midland, Fergus, and Elora. Other officers invested were immediate past master Fred Mol­lison, senior warden Mich­ael Bowman, junior warden Bill Snowe, chaplain Andy Steen, treasurer George Moore, secretary John Carter, senior deacon Craig Steen, junior deacon Chris Brown, director of ceremonies Allen Bell, sen­ior steward Ross Steen, junior steward neil Roche, inner guard Les Morrison, tyler Sam Ad­ams, and historian Rick Rob­erts. Irvine Lodge was instituted May 13 1868, and meets in the Fergus Masonic Hall on first Mondays, except July and Aug­ust. Due to Labour Day, the Lodge will meet the first Wednesday. Visitors are always welcome.
