IRELAND, Frances Doreen (Johnston) June 1, 1926 – Sept. 25, 2018. FOREVER LOVED. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Doreen. She passed peacefully with family by her side at Hospice House in Prince George, BC. Doreen was born and grew up in Fergus, Ontario. She married Gordon Ireland in 1945 and she moved to the Arthur area where they farmed for over 30 years. In 1977, they moved to Prince George, where they both enjoyed the rest of their lives. Predeceased by her loving husband Gordon in 1998, her parents Viola and George Johnston, and her dear sister Lorna (Walter) Bolen. Doreen is survived by her children Wayne (Rita), Nancy, Sharon, Sheila and Rick (Sharon). Her grandchildren Larry (Kata), Matt (Shawna), Jess, Stephanie (Jason), Danielle (Kyle) and Trinity. Great grandchildren Liam, Joshua, Hayden, Dylan, Benson, TJ, Aaliyah, RJ and Danika. Doreen is also survived by her sister Anna (Clint) McDougall, brother Murray Johnston, sisters-in-law Marion Mullin and Fern (Harold) Shantz. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Two Rivers Seniors Lodge where Doreen spent her final few months as well as Hospice House in Prince George. No service by request.
