Hunter, George Leroy; Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, at the age of 71. Devoted husband of Margaret. Dear father of Richard, Bonita, Janice (Rick Stephens) and Murray (Colleen). Cherished brother of Lorna McPherson West (Mervin), Marlene Hilliard and Lloyd (Esther).  Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Krystal and Ryan Tanner, Deborah Hooker, Kailey, Kyle and Brodie Hunter and Callie Stephens and by great-grandchildren Balin and Durin Vergunst. Predeceased by parents Roy and Elizabeth Hunter and brothers-in-law George McPherson and Lloyd Hilliard. Friends were received at Simes Funeral Home, Grand Valley on Tuesday, March 3rd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service was held Wednesday at the Grand Valley and District Community Centre at 1pm, Rev. Arlene Leis officiated. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Grand Valley Minor Hockey, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or a church of your choice.
