Hundreds attend 11th annual Trillium Run

MOUNT FOREST - Over 200 people took part in the 11th annual Trillium Run events here on May 12.

The annual fundraiser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation included four events: a 5km walk, 5km run, 10km run and 10km in-line skating race.

Peter Doucet of Mississauga, left, finished third in the in-line skate (with a time of 18:56), bested only by Jesse (18:51) and Jade Pauley (18:53) of Kitchener.

Orangeville’s Alexander Maycock (18:23) finished first in the 5km run, while Maggie Riley (40:08) of Harriston was first in the 5km walk.

The top three finishers in the 10km run were Benjamin Bolinger of Berkeley (39:13), John Bowden of Mount Forest (42:13) and Mike Ongena of Elora (42:21).
