GUELPH – The Guelph Humane Society (GHS) announced the 2025 Happy Tails Gala: Moonlight Midway raised $115,000 to support vulnerable animals across Guelph and Wellington County.
Presented by title sponsor GoWylde Real Estate, this year’s gala welcomed 245 guests for an evening that celebrated animals, community generosity and the lifesaving work made possible through donor support.
Held at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Guelph Conference Centre, the Happy Tails Gala introduced a new cocktail-style format designed to encourage mingling and interactive experiences.
Guests explored midway-inspired games, enjoyed roaming street performers and closed the night with an aerialist performance that served as a dramatic finale to the event.
The immersive atmosphere set the tone for a night of celebration, connection and impact.
“Our community continues to show up for animals who need us most,” said Lisa Veit, GHS executive director.
“The funds raised at this year’s gala will provide care, food and shelter for the more than 3,000 homeless animals we will care for this year. We are deeply grateful for this generosity.”
Throughout the evening, guests heard stories of animals whose lives were changed through GHS programs, including those recovering from cruelty, abandonment and medical emergencies.

The combination of entertainment, storytelling and opportunities to support animal care and essential services helped reinforce the importance of donor-driven impact.
“Our supporters are the heart of this event,” Veit said.
“Every person who attended, bid, donated or volunteered helped give animals a second chance at safety and care.”
Proceeds provide lifesaving veterinary treatment, nutritious food, and safe shelter for homeless, injured, abused and abandoned animals.
They will also support community programs that keep pets and people together, including no-cost emergency boarding for pets of families experiencing crisis and food for pets of families experiencing food insecurity.
Veit adds, “We are so grateful to GoWylde Real Estate and to the many sponsors, donors, volunteers and local businesses whose contributions made Moonlight Midway a success.”
