Hospital alarm activated, but no fire
Firefighters from both Fergus and Elora responded to what they were informed was a ‘confirmed’ fire at Groves Memorial Community Hospital on July 29 only to discover there was no fire.
Centre Wellington fire chief Brad Patton confirmed the Wednesday morning call was actually a patient activated alarm system.
Centre Wellington Fire Department investigated and found no fire and returned to their respective stations before 11am.
