Horticultural society hosts District 7 AGM
Good friends and good ideas will be in bloom at the Ontario Horticultural Association (OHA) District 7 annual general meeting, hosted by the Fergus Horticultural Society on April 27 at the Melville United Church Hall.
Doors open at 8:30am for registration and a light breakfast, along with the placement of flower show entries.
The meeting begins at 9:30am, with a welcome address by Dorelene Anderson, and Anna Peterson of OHA, along with Roberta Vlietstra, president of the Fergus group and Township of Centre Wellington counselor Mary Lloyd.
At 11:30am, guest speaker Barry Vanderveer will discuss “Woodland Gardening.”
At 1:30pm, guest speaker: Roland Craig will present, “Roses.”
Beginning at 2:30pm, the Flower Show comments and awards will be presented by Jean Gordon.
The Melville United Church is located at 300 St. Andrew Street.
