Horticultural society announces speaker
The Elora-Salem Horticultural Society will present guest speaker Bruce MacNeil at the Heritage River Retirement Residence on March 24 at 7:30pm.
A master gardener and passionate horticulturalist, MacNeil will speak on “healthy lawn care,” including lawn tips, types of grass and the pesticide and herbicide ban in Ontario
He is the president of the Kitchener Horticultural Society and a long time editor of the society’s magazine. He has also been involved with the society’s youth group, a horticultural therapy program at three institutions, and various garden tours.
MacNeil has also served on the civic beautification committee and as a judge of the Kitchener Blooms front yard competition.
