HOPE, Martha ‘Marty’ – passed away peacefully at Royal Terrace, Palmerston on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the age of 90. Marty was the wife of the late John Hope ( 2011 ), and dear mother of Charles and Ruth Hope of Waterloo, Jim and Barb Hope of Harriston, Yvonne and Tom Schieck of R.R. 2, Moorefield, and Wes and Jill Hope of Palmerston. Loving grandmother of Tom and Meghan Hope, Kaye Hope and Alex Gheorghe, Peter and Kendell  Hope, Paul Hope, Scotney and Derrick Bauman, Matthew and Amber Schieck, Curtis Schieck and Danielle DeVries, Laura Schieck, Ainslie and Hendrik Bouwman, Deanna Hope, and Dustin Hope; and great-grandmother of Ella, Jack, Charlie, Ava, Wesley, Hayden, Nico, and Savannah. Beloved sister of Janny Bruinsma of Holland, and sister-in-law of Bill and Ada Hope of Walkerton, and Lloyd and Suzanne Hope of Hanover, and five of John’s other siblings in Holland. Friends called at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The funeral service was held from Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church, Harriston on Monday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
