Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre hosted its annual Hoofbeat Challenge fundraising event on Sept. 30.

Over 75 participants (along with their friends and family) brought their horse or dog to Sunrise, and enjoyed riding or walking the farm’s trails.   The event raised over $35,000 in support of Sunrise’s therapy and recreation programs for children and adults with special needs.

The Top Team in pledges raised was the “Rambling Rockies”, followed by “Team Wilson” and “Old Orchard Team” in second and third places respectively.

“Sunrise wishes to thank the many event participants and supporters who helped us to reach our goal, along with the many dedicated volunteers who made this event a success, including the Optimist Club of Puslinch and the Amateur Radio Club of Guelph,” officials state.
