HOOD, Kristina Lynne

HOOD, Kristina Lynne; (September 4, 1972 – January 26, 2015).  It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Wife,  Daughter, Sister, Niece, Aunt, Step-Mother and Step-Grandmother Kristina  Lynne Hood (nee Ashton). Kristi passed away as the result of  complications of surgery in her 43rd year. Kristi is the beloved Wife  and best friend of Alan Hood, cherished Daughter of Morley and the Late  Norah Ashton, dear Sister of Kevin and Donna Ashton of Goderich and  Craig Ashton and Guy LaPorte of Collingwood, Niece of Don and Sharon  Foster of Kitchener, wonderful and loving Aunt of Katelyn Ashton and  Jordan Ashton of Sarnia and Step-mother of Jason and Nadia Hood and  Step-Grandmother of Jaina and Step-mother to Jeff and Lisa Hood all of  Guelph. Kristi was a rare light and force that was totally dedicated to  her family – mere words are not enough to express our grief and the  unexpected loss that our family has been dealt. In life, Kristi enjoyed  music and sports and spent many hours playing slow pitch and supporting  Alan as he umpired several tournaments around Ontario. Kristi will also  be missed by her colleagues at Fusion Homes and many friends and  extended family members. The family wishes to thank all of the people  that have sent their prayers and Love, as well as those that have  dropped of food and have offered their support during our grief –  especially Bob and Anita Dewar and Jim and Cookie Yak. Funeral services  were arranged by Graham Giddy Funeral Home – 280 St. David Street,  Fergus, Ontario, 519-843-3100 or www.grahamgiddyfh.com. Visitation was  from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Friday, January 30th and 11 am – 12:30 pm on  Saturday, January 31, 2014 – The funeral service followed at 1 pm. As an  expression of sympathy, the family asks that you donate to either Heart  and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society – arrangements can  be made through the funeral home.
