MOUNT FOREST – The Holstein Foodgrains project is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a crop of sunflowers. Brenda and Murray Calder, field owners, stated those interested can donate online at the Canadian Foodgrains Bank website, foodgrainsbank.ca. All proceeds from the crops go to the Foodgrains Bank. The field is located at 411578 Southgate Sideroad 41 near Mount Forest. The bank is a non-profit organization that has partnered with 15 Canadian churches and church-based agencies to end global hunger. The Calders ask those who visit the field, not to pick any flowers or go into the field. Any donations can be left in a mailbox at the sunflower field’s location.
