HOLSTEIN – “Dreams do come true!”
That is the premise of the current production of the Holstein Drama Group as it presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.
With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the two-act musical tells the story of Joseph, his 11 brothers and their father Jacob and is a theatrical retelling of Genesis 39-50.
Set in early Egypt it includes family relationships, power, forgiveness and love.
Alison Moran is director; Helen Craigie is music director with choreographers Jenna Matthews and Jennie McInnis.
The cast of 31 plus technical crew includes Scott McInnes of Holstein as Joseph, Megan Gramigna of Kincardine as Pharaoh and Jack Reihl of Mount Forest as narrator.
Familiar and new cast members also come from Mount Forest, Palmerston, Listowel Owen Sound, Kitchener, Kenilworth, West Grey, Markdale and Durham.
Joseph opens with a dinner theatre at 6pm on May 2 (advance tickets are $50), followed by the show at 7:30pm.
