Hockey game raises $16,000 for local child awaiting kidney transplant
A hockey tournament at the Palmerston arena on Nov. 5 raised $16,000 for Ken and Carolyn Brubacher as their 12-year-old son Trevor awaits a kidney transplant. PALMERSTON – A hockey tournament at the Palmerston arena on Nov. 5 raised $16,000 for Ken and Carolyn Brubacher as their 12-year-old son Trevor awaits a kidney transplant.

Innovative, Whispering Meadows Family Farms and Martin’s Family Fruit Farm sponsored the event.

Trevor dropped the puck for the first game between Innovative and the Listowel Stars.

The Wellington Warriors were the last team standing at the end of the tournament.
