Transition Erin is hosting a guided history walk on Oct. 26 at 1pm.

Participants will start by hiking up the laneway to Water Tower Hill.

Officials say the view of the village and surrounding area is wonderful; it is easy to imagine Erin as it was 180 years ago.

Afterwards participants will cross Main Street again to look at the two still-standing old mills then follow the Woollen Mill Trail and learn about the remarkable young man who built the village.

The walk is held in memory of Steve Revell and his dedication to trails in Erin.

His book A Brief History of Erin Village will be available for $2.

Participants should meet in the parking lot behind the liquor store. The event will be held rain or shine.
