Hillside recognized with awards
The Hillside Festival has had another busy year of outreach activities, music, and fundraising for its charitable organization.
In early May, Canadian Music Week nominated the festival for three awards: Best Small Festival, Best Children’s Programming and Best Green Operations and Hillside won Best Green Operations for its environmental projects and low carbon footprint.
Hillside also won Festivals and Events Ontario’s Best Greening award for this year, as well as the Festival of Distinction Award, given out to only 21 festivals in Ontario, including Stratford and Luminato, in March 2016.
On the weekend of July 22 to 24 Hillside will hold its 33rd annual gathering on Guelph Lake island. For more information about Hillside Festival visit http://hillsidefestival.ca/.
