Hillis, J. Roy (Butch); Peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Laura Hillis of Arthur. Dear father of Kelly Murray of Arthur and Tony and Carol Murray of Grand Valley. Proud Papa Roy of Rayburn and Ty. Survived by his sisters Dorelle Ritchie of Grand Valley and Bonnie (Bob) Gemmill of Clarkson and sister-in-law Ruth Hillis of Grand Valley. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Carl Hillis and brother-in-law Bruce Ritchie. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service was held from the Crawford Chapel on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 11am. Interment of cremated remains will take place in Union Cemetery, Grand Valley at a later date. Remembrances to Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation - CT Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
