Hieter, John
Hieter, John – passed away at his home in Minto Township on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the age of 61 years. John was the husband of Ann Legault, father of Nicole Hieter of Elmira, and son of Gerrit Hieter of Vernon, BC and the late Helma Hieter. He will be remembered by his brother Gerry Hieter and Pet Trafford of Victoria, BC, by his sisters Joanne Hieter and Jerry McFarlane of Vernon, BC, Judy Dobson of Kelowna, BC, and Cheryl Fletcher and Ken Barber of London; by his nieces and nephews, Joseph Dekok, Jon Dekok, Amy Spencer, Anita Dekok, Ashley Dekok, Josh Dobson, Sarah Dobson, and Kaitlin Dobson; and by Nicole’s mother, Debra Cowal of Elmira. Predeceased by his nephew Jeremy Dekok. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Saturday, June 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A gathering and celebration of John’s life will be held at John and Ann’s home, Avalon Gardens on Saturday, July 20.
