HENNIG, Lydia. She went to be with her Lord at the Hanover and District Hospital on Wednesday, November 11th, 2015. Lydia Hennig (nee Voss), of Mount Forest and formerly of Durham, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Erich Hennig for 61 years. Loving mother of Georg Hennig and his wife Chris of Bolton, Wilhelm Hennig of RR#1 Hanover, and Erna and her husband Allan Goldsmith of Belwood. Fondly remembered by her 8 grandchildren; David (Sharon), Stephan (Heather), Elizabeth (Andrew), Nicholas, David (Brie), Melissa (Dwayne), Brent (Rachel) and Ashley and her 9 great-grandchildren; Sawyer, Jordyn, Riley, Tish, Tyson, Hannah, Noah, Madison and Peyton. Dear sister of Erwin (Erna) Voss and Edward Voss and sister-in-law of Helene Voss. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Patricia Hennig and her brother Karl Voss. Visitation was held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Sunday, November 15 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A celebration of Lydia’s life was held at the Faith Baptist Church, Mount Forest on Monday morning at 11 o’clock. Committal service and interment was held at Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Hanover and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
