Hennecke, Lillian Margaret Rose; Born: August 1, 1936 in Montreal, Quebec. Reborn: November 22, 2008 in Fergus, Ontario. Lillian passed away peacefully, with her loving best friend of 55 years Harald and daughters Cathy and Christe at her side. Lillian fought a lengthy battle with cancer and won! She was greeted by Jesus at the gates of heaven, re-united with her daughter Maureen and presented to our Father in Heaven. Lillian will be sadly missed by many friends and family. Lovingly remembered by sons-in-law John, Doug and Derik and grandchildren Luke, Melissa, Audrey, Peter, Maryanne, Hillary, Andrew, Cody and Jessie. Remembered with love by her nieces and nephews Carol, Terry, Gail, Lorna and Joan. Special gratitude to Pastor Debra Johnston and the community of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. A very special thank-you to Samantha and the Baycrest nursing and Palliative Community Outreach team. Special thanks to neighbours and the extraordinary staff at Fergus Zehrs Pharmacy who always went “beyond the call of duty” (Joan & Cathy). The family received friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Monday, November 24th from 2-4pm. Funeral Service was conducted at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 290 Belsyde Ave. East in Fergus, on Tuesday, November 25 at 3pm.
