HARROP, Sam.Passed away peacefully at home, with family at his side, on April 17, 2016 in his 88th year. Sam will be tremendously missed by his wife of 63 years, Norma Harrop (nee Fish). Greatly missed by his sons Dave (Roseanne), Roger (Susan), Eric (Christine) and Ian (Janet). Fondly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Cedric and Dave and his step brothers Keith and Laurie Durnan. Sam was a proud and dedicated farmer and an avid curler and piper. Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus, on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service was conducted at Melville United Church, 300 St. Andrew Street West in Fergus, on Thursday, April 21st at 11:00am. Private interment.
