Harriston rink wins ladies bonspiel

MOUNT FOREST – The Mount Forest Curling Club hosted the Co-operator’s Ladies Bonspiel on Feb. 4.

Conveners for the event where Lucie and Robert Walker, kitchen convener Steve Bower and draw master Lloyd Hamilton.

Eight teams played two eight end games. Six teams came from Mount Forest, one from Harriston and one from Palmerston.

The Debra Ross team from Harriston took home the trophy.

“A great day was had by all, filled with lots of fun, exercise and laughter,” organizers state.

Organizers note the event would not be possible without all the curlers who came out, the helpful volunteers, “our amazing ice makers and our snap happy photographer Russ Grant.”

Organizers also thanked sponsors:

team prize sponsors: T.D. Smith Transport, Pike Lake Golf and Country Club, M&M Food Market, CB Win Reality, H. Bye Construction, Independent Auto, Mount Forest Chiropractic and Country Carpet Furniture.

Raffle table prizes were supplied by Northern Wellington R.V., Saugeen Fitness, APC Mount Forest, Mount Forest Greenhouses, Independent Auto, I’m Sooooooo Bad, Roberts Farm Equipment, Marcc Apparel, Scotts Pizza Burger, Eco Den, Wellington North Township and the Mount Forest Ladies Curling Club.
