Harriston businesses to compete in chili cook off at local Legion

HARRISTON – Businesses here are invited to participate in a chili cook off, with their cooking to be sampled and judged by local residents.

Harriston Rising is hosting the cook off, which will take place on March 3 from 6:30 to 8pm at the Harriston Legion.

“There will be some testing, some eating, some socializing, some judging and a lot of Harriston hometown fun,” Harriston Rising officials state.

Attendees will taste and judge the chili for: taste, aoma, favour and visual appearance.

Businesses planning to participate are advised to prepare “a full big pot of your favorite recipe.” Chili cookers must register by Feb. 24 at harristonrising.ca.

Admission to the cook off is by donation and attendees must also pre-register at harristonrising.ca.
