HAMBLY, Lavern “Shorty” D.V.M. (July 1,1936 - October 29, 2015) - Lavern “Shorty” Hambly leaves behind his wife Peggy (nee Lewey); his sons Brian, Jay (Philippa) and Mark, all of Guelph, Ontario; his grandchildren Emily Price, Elizabeth and Jackson Hambly, his sister Pat Hill and brother Terry Hambly of Alberta; and brother Reg Hambly of British Columbia. In 1962 Vern graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College where he left his mark as an able scholar, an athlete (football and curling), and as a proud O.T.S. fraternity brother. He experienced mixed practice in Alberta and Ontario before embarking on a career in the pharmaceutical industry. “Shorty” will be remembered with love, admiration and respect by family, friends, colleagues and teammates. There will be a celebration of life at Puslinch Community Centre, Aberfoyle, Ontario from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015.
