The Guelph Youth Music Centre has announced the launch of the GYMC Youth Symphony.

The new group will be led by conductor Paul Pulford, associate dean of the Faculty of Music at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, and starts in September.

“This is exciting News for the entire Guelph community,” said Executive Director Brenda Gibson. “Musicians are invited to audition for what promises to be a truly excellent symphony ...  String, woodwind and brass players are welcome to join.”

RCM Grade 8 and above is recommended for this program. Auditions for September can be reserved at the Guelph Youth Music Centre’s office. Repertoire with fingering complete for the auditions can also be picked up at the GYMC office.

Call the centre’s office at 519-837-1119 for more information or to register for this program. For more details visit www.gymc.ca.
