Guthrie, Donald Henderson; Passed away on April 20, 2012 in his 80th year at home with his family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend of Flo (Pierce). He was the proud father of David (Brenda), Kenneth (Brenda), Sharon Barker (Larry Gardiner) and the late Ronnie. Cherished Grandpa of Rachel (Dan), Veronica (Ryan), Melody, and Carla; Chris (Tiffany), Amy (Jason), and Steven (Ashley); Caleb and Elijah. Don will be missed by his sister Anne Bryant, son-in-law, David Barker, brother-in-law, Percy Pierce (Sandra), sister-in-law, Beth VanSlyke (Orville) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his sister, Barbara Anderson. Don was a proud member of the Fergus Model Flyers and the Aero-tow Model Gliders. He enjoyed singing with the Tri-City Gospel Singers, The Hilltop Singers and his church, Bethel Baptist. Previously, he also sang with the Royal City Ambassadors. Visitation took place at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Monday, April 23. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 24 at 1pm at Gilchrist Chapel with Pastor Paul Hudson officiating. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
