David Mowat will present The Klondike Gold Rush, 1892: A Canadian Story with Local Connections on Dec. 5 at 7:30pm at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Guelph.

Mowat has written a family memoir about his grand-uncle, a druggist who, as the first mayor of the Yukon, had significant involvement in the Klondike Gold Rush.

William Ogilvie, another Guelph resident was second governor of the Yukon and a Dominion surveyor.
