Guelph woman dead after being hit by pickup truck: OPP

GUELPH – A Guelph woman is dead after being hit by a pickup truck here on Wednesday morning.

Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to the intersection of the Hanlon Expressway and College Avenue at about 6am on Dec. 20.

“Initial reports indicated that a pickup truck and pedestrian had collided, and the pedestrian had suffered serious injuries,” the OPP stated in a press release.

Police say the pedestrian, a 65-year-old woman from Guelph, was pronounced dead at the scene.
