Guelph’s Water Supply Master Plan is bound to have an impact on residents in the Arkell area.
On Oct. 2, Puslinch councillors briefly talked about the upcoming plan and its impact to local residents.
The master plan is to address water needs until 2038.
Councillor Wayne Stokley said the documents generated provide a good idea of what the city is proposing, not only with respect to the master plan and development for the future – but also conservation.
He said the municipality may have anticipated future calls from Puslinch residents including those in the Arkell area.
Presentation slides were posted on the Puslinch website as part of council’s agenda package.
Mayor Dennis Lever noted that both he and CAO Karen Landry attended a presentation.
Lever agreed that the city has some long range plans which will have a local impact.
The city already has a half dozen municipal wells in the Arkell area [within Puslinch].
He quipped “the comment I make to them is that it was a penny a litre.”
