Guelph teams dominate tourny

Throughout the Niagara Falls Tournament on the weekend of March 6 to 8, the U-10 Guelph ringette teams dominated the competition and came out on top.

Over the weekend the U-10 Team Tosh took the ice and played four ringette games in the Niagara Falls Tournament. The first game was against Burlington and Team Tosh took the win with a final score of 8-2.

Guelph goalie Finnley Greff got a shutout game two against St. Catharines securing a 7-0 win.

Guelph played Goderich in game three with another win - 11-4.

In the end, the team’s three big wins took them to the finals Sunday morning against Burlington.

After a great game, Guelph took home the gold medal in the U-10 blue division with a final score of 9-2.

The U-10 Team Carberry also participated in the Niagara Falls Tournament.

The team won all three round robin games defeating Pickering 10-8, West Ferris 8-1 and Niagara Falls 7-1.

The team then faced Pickering in the finals and took home the gold medal in the U-10 yellow division with a final score of 9-3.
