Guelph ringette team off to good start

Another ringette season has started.

The U-12 Provincial Petite Guelph Predators (Team Pedersen) kicked off the season playing two games at a warm-up tournament in Fergus last weekend winning 4-0 over London in the first game.

Goalie Kate Driscoll came up huge for the Predators. Facing more than 20 shots, she came out with the shutout for Guelph.

After a goalie showdown at the end of the first period and with the game tied 0-0, Guelph’s Abby Auger put one in the net for the Predators, assisted by Kaitlyn Turcotte.

Three more goals followed for Colleen Zandstra, Auger, and Ella Chase. Auger, Chase and Turcotte assisted.

In the game against Dorchester, Guelph won 4-1.

Auger led the scoring with three goals, while Hanna Hutton had one goal.

Sarah Pedersen, Turcotte, Kyleigh McClennan, Regan Hart and Chase picked up one assist each.
