Guelph resident wins $100,000 with ENCORE

Renovations, vacations planned

GUELPH – James Gill of Guelph matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the March 5 LOTTO 6/49 draw and won $100,000!

Gill, a 45-year-old father of two and regular player of LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX, said he plays the same numbers his father played before he passed away.

“These numbers have a real significance to me,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

When Gill checked his ticket and discovered he won on Encore, he was so surprised he had to scan it several times to make sure it was real.

“I FaceTimed my brothers right after to share the good news and told some friends from work. Everyone was so happy for me,” he smiled.

He plans to complete some home renovations and plan some family vacations.

“It feels like a huge blessing. This will help me and my family a lot. I am very grateful,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Zehrs on Eramosa Road in Guelph.
