Guelph resident attacked by two men with a bat: police

GUELPH – Police here are investigating after a man was attacked outside his home by two men with a bat on the weekend.

Guelph Police Service officers were called to a house on Elizabeth Street on March 23 at about 9:45am.

“A resident said approximately 15 minutes earlier he saw two men outside near his vehicle and went out to speak to them. One of the men had a bat and struck the victim several times,” police stated in a March 25 press release. “The victim managed to crawl inside and get help from his teenage son. He was transported to hospital for treatment of serious injuries to his arms and legs.”

Police say the men were last seen on foot along Elizabeth Street towards the downtown area. One was described as a white male, approximately 30, wearing a black leather jacket and black pants. There was no description of the second male.
