Guelph man wins $50,000 with Instant Bingo

TORONTO – Vittorio Biliato of Guelph won a $50,000 top prize with Instant Bingo.

Biliato is a regular lottery player with Instant Bingo being his favourite game.

“This is my largest win over $100,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

Biliato, a retired skilled trade worker, says he noticed he was one number away from winning while playing his ticket at home.

“I was so excited when ‘052’ was revealed. I started shaking. I had to get a drink of water and double check the ticket!”

Biliato tried to call his children and sister, but no one answered the phone.

“I wanted to share my news with someone. I called my son-in-law and finally got a hold of my daughter. She came over right away and gave me a big hug,” he smiled.

Biliato plans to share his windfall with family.

Instant Bingo is available for $3 a play and the top prize is $50,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.79.

The winning ticket was purchased at Grange Convenience on Victoria Road in Guelph.
