Guelph man deceased after boating incident on Belwood Lake
CENTRE WELLINGTON - On July 1, 2021, at approximately 12:30pm Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a boating incident that occurred on Belwood Lake (Grand River Conservation Authority) in Centre Wellington. Bystanders were making lifesaving efforts on a male who was injured in the incident.
Centre Wellington Fire Rescue, Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service and ORNGE air ambulance also responded.
The male, a 46-year-old from Guelph, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The OPP continue to assist the Office of the Chief Coroner with the investigation.
