Guelph library story contest ends April 12

The Guelph Public Library’s (GPL) “It’s All Write: Teen Short Story Contest” runs until 5pm on April 12.

Teens in Grades 7 through 12 are encouraged to write a short story on any topic in 1,500 words or less and send it to teens@library.guelph.on.ca, or in person to any library branch. Why not try writing a story which embraces the GPL’s annual theme: “GPL… your other best friend”?

Winners will receive a gift certificate to The Bookshelf in three categories (Grades 7 and 8, grades 9 and 10, and Grades 11 and 12) and will also have their work turned into a book to be sold in May.

Entrants can also design a book cover for the “It’s ALL Write: Teen Short Story Contest” featuring painting, drawing, photography, digital arts and/or more. The winning cover will be featured on book to be released in May.

For information visit teens@library.guelph.on.ca or call 519-824-6220 ext. 305.
