Guelph hosts Relay for Life

In 2014, there are even more cancer survivors to walk the Survivor Lap at Relay For Life.

This is partly owing to ground-breaking research funded by the Canadian Cancer Society. Research that would not be possible without the support of community partners.

On April 28 the Guelph Relay For Life will host an event  kickoff at Bigelow Flooring, 450 Woodlawn Rd W, Guelph from 7 to 9pm.

Relay For Life is a global  fundraiser and movement against cancer, taking place in 20 countries worldwide with participants from over 500 communities across Canada. The non-competitive, 12-hour overnight event brings communities together to celebrate life and fight cancer. Relay For Life has a festival-like atmosphere that families, friends and co-workers can enjoy regardless of age or fitness level. Visit relayforlife.ca to register a team, raise funds as a participant, or donate.

The Canadian Cancer Society is a national organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and enhancement of the quality of life for people living with cancer. For more information visit cancer.ca or call the Wellington County Community Office at 519-824-4261.
