Guelph General’s annual report highlights 2025/26 initiatives

GUELPH – Guelph General Hospital (GGH) is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and its annual report, entitled, ‘The next 150 years of caring for Guelph‑Wellington,” capitalizes on that.

The report outlines the hospital’s achievements from the past year while celebrating the many areas of service and people driving its continued success. 

The report shares patient and staff stories, the range of hospital programs serving Guelph-Wellington, and future plans. 

It also provides information about how members of the community can be part of the hospital’s service to the community and help make a difference to health care in the region.  

“As GGH celebrates its 150th anniversary, this report reflects both how far the hospital has come and where it is going,” said board chair Terry Campbell in a press release. 

“We remain deeply grateful to the people and partners who make the hospital’s progress possible.” 

The 2025/26 annual report captures a year of momentum and transformation, including: 

– completing construction at the new GGH Speedvale Campus; 

– receiving “Accreditation with Exemplary Standing” from Accreditation Canada;   

– launching the P.A.R.T.Y. Program (Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth); and

– celebrating 150 years of providing exceptional care in Guelph-Wellington.  

“This report reflects our work over the past year, highlighting key areas of investment including the projects, programs, and services we have been able to advance. 

“These efforts form an important foundation for our future work and will help inform how we support the next 150 years of care in our community,” said hospital president and CEO Mark Walton.
