Guelph Family Martial Art students successful in championship
GUELPH – Students from Guelph Family Martial Arts returned from the Regional Martial Arts Championship held this past weekend. Coached by world champions Nathan and Sophie Skoufis, the team brought home five gold medals, two silver and one bronze. Grace Bridges won gold for sparring. Chris Hordatt won gold for kata and weapons as well as grand champion for kata and weapons. Deepali Rajpal won bronze for sparring. David Opiela won silver for sparring. Meghan McMurtry won silver for sparring and Mike Barker won gold for sparring.
