Guelph-Eramosa Township approves two appointments

Guelph-Eramosa council has appointed  councillor John Scott to the  committee that will select the consultant to develop the township’s parks and recreation master plan.

Scott, the first councillor to express interest in the committee, will join CAO Janice Sheppard and parks and recreation manager Robin Milne on the three-member group.

The committee will evaluate all compliant proposals (the township issued a request for proposals on Nov. 3), help prepare interview questions, interview candidates and select the consultant.

Milne said a decision should be made by early December, with public consultation to begin in February.

Also at its Nov. 21 meeting, council approved the re-appointment of Dale Murray as its representative on the Lake Erie Region Source Protection Committee.
