Guelph-Eramosa paid councillors $120,053 in 2017

It cost Guelph-Eramosa taxpayers about $120,053 to pay elected officials in 2017.

On March 19 finance director  Linda Cheyne presented the statement of council remuneration/expenses.

Mayor Chris White received a base salary of $16,300 last year, plus $20,799 for meetings, $1,966 in mileage and travel and $9 for conference, meals and parking, for a total of $39,074.

The totals for councillors were:

- David Wolk: base $13,964; meetings $8,931; mileage and travel $2,670; conference, meals and parking $183; for a total of $25,748;

- Corey Woods: base $13,964; meetings $5,809; mileage and travel $1,565; conference, meals and parking $329; total $21,667;

- Mark Bouwmeester: base $13,964; meetings $2,588; mileage and travel $92; conference, meals and parking $149; total $16,793; and

- Louise Marshall: base $13,964; meetings $2,270; mileage and travel $537; conference, meals and parking $0; total $16,771.
