Guelph-Eramosa hires Niemi as new director of public works

Mayor Chris White and Guelph-Eramosa council recently  announced the appointment of Harry Niemi to the position of director of public works for the township.

Niemi brings over 20 years of experience providing consulting engineering services with R.J. Burnside and Associates, officials say.

For the past 10 years, Niemi has been the consulting engineer to several municipalities in Dufferin and Wellington Counties.

As director of public works, Niemi will oversee the township’s water and sewer utilities, and maintenance and construction of roads and bridges.

“I am eagerly looking forward to working with council, the community and the great team in Guelph-Eramosa,” said Niemi.
